Corero Partners with TechEnabler To Deliver Cutting-Edge Anti-DDoS Solutions in Brazil and LATAM with Revenue Sharing Model

Marlborough, MA – Feb. 20, 2024: TechEnabler, a Brazilian distributor with multidisciplinary expertise in the telecommunications and IT markets, and Corero Network Security (LON: CNS), the specialists in distributed denial of service (DDoS) protection solutions, today announced a new business alliance to protect corporate and communications providers networks. Under this agreement, both companies will share revenues of all TechEnabler businesses involving Corero’s solutions.

With a presence in the United States and Latin American countries, TechEnabler will act as a distribution channel for Corero solutions and use its technology to design, maintain, and offer DDoS protection-as-a-service against DDoS attacks on corporate and telecommunications service provider networks.

Alvaro Aquino, General Manager of TechEnabler, says: “The Corero SmartWall ONE platform effectively protects companies and carriers against DDoS attacks and ransom threats. The business success we have been achieving with Corero’s technology in a little more than a year we have been partnering prompted the new revenue-sharing agreement that will bring our companies closer, certainly with even better outcomes for both.”

Tanya Alfonso, Chief Revenue Officer at Corero, says: “Our partnership with TechEnabler propels Corero into the Brazilian and LATAM markets, leveraging their network and technical prowess. This moves positions us as cybersecurity frontrunners and enables local businesses to enhance their defenses and explore new revenue avenues through our DDoS protection solutions. Together, we are setting a benchmark for security and innovation, fostering a secure and prosperous digital landscape.”

Forte Telecom (which means “Strong Telecom”), a wholesale carrier providing services in six Brazilian states, chose Corero/TechEnabler to protect its network and customers. Forte’s CEO, Sergio Simas, says: “Forte Telecom’s solution was exclusively designed to enable Forte to provide its customers with unique added-value services: It is based on the innovative concept of Local Scrubbing as a Service (LSaaS), which only Corero’s technology can deliver from the system architecture standpoint. Forte’s solution offers zero latency, with milliseconds of response time, and allows for precise customer traffic management, fully visualized throughout a sophisticated customer portal.”

TechEnabler provides the Corero technology as the customer desires it. The customer may acquire the platform and choose the defense system design and modeling by TechEnabler, counting on support from the three centers in Brazil (in the cities of São Luís, Rio de Janeiro, and Porto Alegre) besides those in Mexico and Chile; or go for protection against DDoS attacks as a service, in the form of local mitigation (with savings of 50 to 60% of the equipment purchase price in three years), cloud mitigation, or a combination of local and cloud mitigation.

Corero and TechEnabler will showcase their offers to the Brazilian and Latin American markets at the 15th ABRINT (Brazilian Telecommunications and Internet Providers Association) National Meeting to be held in São Paulo, Brazil, from 12th to 14th June.
