Smartwall progress for Corero

A brace of announcements from AIM-listed security software vendor Corero Network Security suggest further traction for its new SmartWall product. First, the company has announced a chunky contract with an unnamed US ISP for $0.5m and, secondly, it has signed a deal with Verisign, which means that Corero customers will be able to integrate SmartWall with Verisign’s OpenHybrid, enabling interoperability between the two DDoS solutions. In our view, these two announcements are a very welcome shot in the arm for Corero as it looks to reposition the company around the SmartWall offering.
