Eleven more UK academies choose Corero's Resource
Leading education software specialist, Corero PLC, announces that a further *eleven Academies across the UK have signed contracts with the company in the last three months, to use Resource Financials to handle their accounting and financial requirements, reinforcing Corero’s position as a leading supplier of financial management systems to this sector.
From the Lake District and Manchester in the north, across to the East Midlands, to Bristol in the west and taking in London, Resource is being viewed as the system of choice for academies coming on stream in ever increasing numbers.
ICAEW-accredited, Resource not only provides core financial ledgers plus procurement, commitment accounting and budgeting, but also the extremely popular range of Web Applications delivered via a Staff Portal allowing the academy senior managers and department heads direct real-time access to their Budgets, to the Requisitioning and Procurement system and includes full Workflow and Document Management via the web. Many academies are also taking on other integrated elements such as Fixed Assets, HR with web based Self Service & Payroll.
In addition to being firmly established with the UK’s Academies, Resource is widely used across the Further Education sector. “All academies, schools and colleges are under great pressure to increase efficiency, meet ever-higher targets and conform to a succession of new regulations and demands,” says Corero’s Business Systems Managing Director, Bernard Snowe. “Resource provides the power, range and flexibility to enable them to do just that, as efficiently and effectively as possible.
“For non finance staff in particular, Resource is able to summarise expenditure in many different ways for different levels of recipient, such as governors and budget holders and can provide the sub-analysis each of these groups of users require. This not only allows them to see up-to-the-minute figures but is also a powerful tool for forward planning. ‘Maverick’ and non contractual spending can also be controlled and ultimately eliminated using Resource’s eProcurement system.
“It’s a great pleasure to welcome eleven more Academies to Resource in such a short space of time and demonstrates our ongoing commitment to the Academy sector. We look forward to Bernard Snowe building upon this success over the coming months.”
