Technical Trainer and Couse Developer

Job Description

General Responsibilities:

Corero Network Security is currently looking for a Technical Trainer and Course Developer to develop and deliver advanced technical training on our award-winning Intrusion Prevention System and distributed denial of sevice (DDoS) Defense network security products to customers and partners. You will be responsible for all aspects of training delivery from research to course instruction for both domestic and international accounts.

The ideal candidate is an extremely technical individual with good presentation skills, strong curiosity and an outgoing personality.  You must have the initiative to seek out information and make it presentable to audiences of varying technical skill levels. 

Principal Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Design and develop customer-focused training content for all Corero IPS and DDS products
  • Build test labs to provide hands-on experience to course participants
  • Provide regular training sessions to internal employees
  • Develop, maintain and enhance course materials based on feedback from customer, partners and colleagues
  • 25% travel to begin, potential for up to 50%, both domestic and international

Skills Required:

  • Strong documentation and presentation skills
  • Excellent knowledge of general network design principles and common communication protocols
  • Hands on experience with networking products
  • Good understanding of network security functions and implementations
  • Sysadmin level skills with Windows and Linux

Aptitude, Education and Experience:

  • 6+ years as a professional trainer and courseware developer OR
  • 8+ years in a technical support, escalation engineering or SE role
  • Exposure to network security products and technologies preferred
  • Self managed and highly motivated
  • Capable of working in a team environment
